Beth joined Dover Hall as the Controller in September 2021 after almost 15 years as the financial officer for Goochland County’s fire-rescue department and six years in finance, marketing, and profit management at Performance Foodservice. Holding both an English degree and an MBA, she can be found correcting grammar and punctuation just as often (and with as much focused precision) as she monitors finances. A native of Rice, Virginia, Beth moved to the Richmond area in 1999 (coincidentally, at the same time, her father’s first cousin was building Dover Hall). She eventually moved to Goochland in 2004, where she met and married her husband, Mark. When not working, Beth enjoys reading, building Lego sets, traveling to the Caribbean, napping with her cats, discussing horror movie characters, and spending time with friends. Her true passion, however, is riding with Mark in both of their Jeep Wranglers. Whether it’s just a nice day for cruising or a rock crawling event in the mountains, she considers “Jeep Therapy” an absolute necessity for a happy life.
