Cedar Moore began his career in catering in 2017 and has since gained experience with a wide range of events, from large historic gatherings in Jamestown to intimate private dinners with refined wine pairings. His background includes both high-profile occasions and small, personal celebrations, giving him an appreciation for the details that make each event unique.

 

At Dover Hall, Cedar serves as Banquet Captain, where he brings an artistic approach and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences. He is dedicated to ensuring every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and immersed in the magic of the celebration.

• Hometown: Clifton Forge, VA

• Favorite Wedding Day Moment: My favorite wedding day moment is when the newlyweds get to see their reception space for the first time after months of planning and picking out linens and tablecloth and all the small details down to flowers. The look on their faces when they see it makes my day every time.

• Go to Cocktail/Drink: An ice cold lemon drop martini or a cold glass of Pinot Grigio. 

• When I'm not at DH, you'll find me... Out in the woods walking or mountain biking, with a bottle of wine. I value creating memorable experiences outside of work, whether exploring new flavors, or simply sharing good conversation.

• Strangest Talent: I am an avid stilt-walker and have performed at Busch Gardens Williamsburg for multiple shows on stilts!
