Hailing from upstate New York, Jamie launched his hospitality career at age 15 as a dishwasher at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa. He studied Environmental Science at Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks and then graduated with honors in Mathematics at the University of North Carolina-Asheville.
Despite the persuasion of his left brain, Jamie could not deny his love for hospitality after working many positions in fine dining and top tier diamond-rated hotels. Immediately following graduation, he founded an off-site catering company in Asheville, NC.
Whether he is creating tablescapes, crafting construction projects, decorating for the holidays, playing with graphic design, or building out an "at home park" on their ForEverGreen property in Powhatan, Jamie loves all things creative.
After nine lifetime moves, he has called Richmond home since 2006, during which time he has managed the event programs at The Berkeley Hotel and The Dominion Club. When he is not at Dover Hall, you'll find him searching for the next best restaurant or dancing to live music with his wife Erin and blended family of six kids!

My favorite aspect of my job is... absolutely our ROCKSTAR TEAM! I have never worked with so many people who genuinely care about creating magical moments for guests, while also mentoring young talent to become the next generation of hospitality heroes.
